About Us

built from passion for hospitality and tourism.

Hi, I’m Konrad Xu. My passion for hotels and hospitality started when I was just 12 years old, and over time it grew into a deep interest in how places can create truly memorable experiences.

The Origin

Why City Archivist exists.

During my internship at Le Méridien Munich — part of Marriott Bonvoy — I spent two weeks working in breakfast service. Day after day, I noticed the same thing: guests would ask not about the famous monuments, but about what else there is to a city — the corners that don't make it into guidebooks, the places locals actually go.

That gap is what I set out to fill. City Archivist is a quiet act of curation — for travellers who want to look beyond the queue lines and find the city that the city actually lives in.
